Client Stories

Innovation through collaboration paves the way for change. Here you can find the stories on how Futurcene has joined hands with companies and institutions across Europe to build a better tomorrow.

04.1

EBRD

Large-scale advisory project commissioned by the European Commission and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for implementation of sustainability regulations in the Baltics, including taxonomy.

Futurcene founders, Ieva Kustova and Māris Vainovskis, led the development of the EU Taxonomy implementation and sustainable finance roadmap development for Latvia and Estonia. The project was aimed at raising awareness and providing practical tools to policy makers and businesses in both countries, to be able to implement the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the EU Taxonomy Regulation.

It has been a great pleasure implementing the sustainable finance roadmaps for Estonia & Latvia jointly with Ieva, Māris and the wider team. The team played a key role in assessing the status quo and recommending the best sustainable toolkit as part of the EU Taxonomy-aligned roadmaps.

The team embraced a hands-on approach and delivered the key milestones on time, whilst always reinforcing their strengths at the forefront of sustainable finance developments.

I highly recommend the team for all these aspects.

Climate risk assessment and taxonomy training for AS CleanR Grupa, a leader in waste management and urban environment management in Latvia.

Futurcene supported CleanR in determining how climate change may impact their daily business and strategic development. The project team identified and helped to assess key climate risks and developed a high level Climate Adaptation Plan to improve the group’s resilience. Futurcene also supported the group in delivering practical taxonomy workshops.

Futurcene’s Ieva Kustova advised our group on climate risk assessment with structured and detailed subject matter expertise. At the same time, Ieva’s background in communication helped to explain complex topics, which we appreciated very much during the taxonomy training. We received comprehensive coverage of the topic, illustrated with examples and case studies of our industry, instead of getting the theoretical presentation we’ve seen elsewhere.
