FUTURCENE was born in Latvia and founded by Ieva Kustova, Māris Vainovskis and Kristīne Bērzina on the belief that there is a real need for a more modern, curious and creative ESG firm in Europe. We wanted to stand out from the jargon-heavy corporate brands that the industry is so cluttered with, and build something much more human – that we can all relate to.

We came together as three founders from diverse backgrounds, united by our belief in human ingenuity, and the idea that bringing our knowledge together will create a uniquely broad and empathetic approach. We approach every challenge with the same curiosity, creativity, and determination key to our journey so far.

Prior to Futurcene, we founded or actively invested in seven companies, creating value in multiple businesses and supporting some of the largest Baltics companies, government institutions as well as international corporations and financial institutions. By intertwining our skills in business and sustainability consulting, legal advising, entrepreneurship, and investing with our united vision, we are focused on creating business value for our clients and partners, as well as our clients’ investors, employees, finance providers, societies and countries they operate in.

We help companies and investors create sustainable strategy and capital allocation priorities needed to create value and prevent loss. Climate risk assessment, sustainable and transparent supply chain analysis, GHG emissions, business transformation towards circular economy, due diligence work – all of these present decision-making opportunities that can ultimately translate into hard-earned money and progressive, world-transforming change.
